I’ve ended my New Year church fasting. Each time I undergo a long fast I end up gaining weight. Weighed in yesterday at 68kg from 65kg December 2015.

My body doesn’t react well to long fasting, it makes me under eat with inadequate sleep. I ate late and tend to sleep very late waiting for my food to digest; I believe that’s why I gain weight during long fast. Its time to get back on track with my eating and workout.

I’m not bothered about the numbers on the scale. I’ve gotten down to 62kg in 2015 and I looked really terrible, so 65kg is perfect (some flesh + curves = pure happiness)

I’m not expecting miracle because 4 weeks is not a long time but its something. However I will continue after the 4 weeks, my main goal is to reduce my body fat percentage from 23 % to 15%. When I started my weight loss at 140kg, my body fat percentage was 58%. I’ve come a long way from 2010 till date.

The first thing I noticed from the above chart is that women have higher body fat percentage than men for each level. This is because we (women) need a higher amount of body fat for ovulation among other factors such as the hormones, sexual organs etc . Read more HERE

Because there is no magic wand, pill and drink for fat loss I’ll be training intelligently, getting my forms right while working out and also eating for fat loss.
