  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. Combine the pears, sugar and milk. let stand for one hour.
  3. Slightly beat the egg whites and combine them with the oil and pear mixture.
  4. Stir the flour, salt, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon. Stir in the pear mixture.
  5. Spray pan with non-stick cooking spray. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before removing form pan.
