I have received a lot of emails requesting for easy and simple salad dressing recipe for replacing the high calorie ones in stores. Here are some easy and fun salad dressing; the best part of this, is that you can make them at home with less salt and calories.
1. Curry Dressing:2 cups non fat plain yogurt, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp curry powder, pinch of black pepper and a pinch of salt. 1 tbsp of this dressing is 12 calories.
2. Mango, Lime and Parsley: 1 tbsp olive oil, ¼ cup of lime/lemon, 1 cup mango, 1 tbsp dried/fresh parsley,
1 tbsp sweetener, pinches of black pepper and salt. 1 tbsp of this dressing is 20 calories.
3. Olive oil and Lemon/Lime: 1 cup lemon/lime juice, 7 cloves of diced or crushed garlic, half cup of olive oil, pinches of salt and pepper. 1 tbsp of this dressing is 40 calories.
4. Honey Mustard: 1 ½ tbsp mustard, ¼ cup balsamic /rice vinegar, 4 tbsp non fat plain yogurt or Greek yogurt, 1 ½ tbsp olive oil and 1 ½ tbsp honey. 1 tbsp contains 31 calories
You can cut some banana or pineapple on salad……..simply delish
